Table Appraisals We have been doing appraisals of antique billiard tables
for insurance coverage, insurance claims for buyers of antique tables or just
for the owners knowledge. Whatever your need is we would be happy to appraise
your table. To get an accurate appraisal, we would need to view the table in person.
We would take pictures, notes and write a formal appraisal for you. Pool

Pool Table Leveling We
get a lot of calls from people in need of pool table leveling. Until we actually
see the table there is no way for us to determine if the adjustments will involve
dismantling the table or not. Sometimes it is a simple adjustment that is done
under the legs of the table. Other times it involves dismantling the billiard
or pool table down to the slate and sometimes removing the slate. Then assembling
the table while making the proper adjustments along the way. If you need a pool
table or billiard table service that has not been detailed above, please feel
free to contact us about it and we will do our best to quote an accurate estimate.
Billiard Table Moving and Storage
We can take care of moving your billiard or pool table to the next room
in your house, to a different level of the house or a different state. When remodeling
or replacing a carpet, we can remove the table from the room it is in and replace
it at a later date. If you prefer, we can assist your mover by dismantling your
table. We can also mark all of the pieces so that it is clear where every part
goes. For long distance moving we can crate your slate to protect it from damage.
Should you need to store your table we could dismantle and transport it to our
location for storage. If you have your own storage space we could transport it
there for you. Replacement billiard
and pool table rubber cushions How your table performs depends on
the rubber cushions and how they are installed. The rubber on antique tables would
have lasted about 50 years or so. Unfortunately the more modern rubber cushions
will only last 10 or 20 years depending on quality. The
rail liner needs to be resurfaced to remove all old glue and rubber. The material
used should be made from gum rubber and have a canvas top and back. It should
be shaped in the "K-66" profile. It needs to be installed at the precise
height, (which is determined by the diameter of the ball used) to insure the proper
rebound. It should be adhered with a yellow glue and clamped
in place until dry. Then you can trim the ends and install the cushion facings.
Because of the drying time, this process must be done at the shop. Contact
cement should never be used to adhere the rubber on your billiard table. While
it will work nicely in the short term it will fail and the rubber will become
loose. This will require replacing the rubber prematurely. Replacement
billiard and pool table pockets Pockets are usually made of either
leather or plastic/rubber. You will find the plastic/rubber pockets on more modern
contemporary style tables. They are traditionally either a solid bucket or a web
liner. You will find leather baskets on newer traditional styled tables as well
as antique tables. In most cases for the newer tables, we can replace the entire
pocket including the pocket iron. We can also replace pieces as needed. Antique
tables are a bit different. We will need to save your pocket iron and replace
the leather on the original iron. A leather pocket consists of: A
pocket iron Leather iron cover Leather basket Inside trim (usually
red) Outside trim (either a tassel or a shield) We
can also replace the pocket parts for your ball return style table. |
