There are many things that will affect your play. The cloth on the table will determine how the ball spins, the level of the table will determine the direction the ball will roll. A properly maintained cue tip will allow you to get the ball to spin correctly. All the equipment you use will greatly affect your game.

The basics, let’s start with…………

The cue stick… The tip is the most important part of the cue stick. You can miss a lot of shots simply because your tip is not shaped properly.

The quality leather that is used for your tip will determine how it keeps its shape. A well-balanced cue stick will feel more comfortable in your hands than one that is heavier in the butt.

There are different types of joints, ferrules, wraps etc... These are the things that should determine which cue stick you buy. How the cue looks should be one of the last things to consider.
We have 20 different brands of two-piece cue sticks available. We have a good selection of one-piece cue sticks as well.
The ball set… The price of balls will vary based on quality. There are many different manufacturers of balls from all over the world. The best balls are made of cast phenolic resin. It is a very hard plastic that is extremely durable. A regulation ball will weigh 6 ounces and be 2 ¼”in diameter. The closer the ball is to those exact numbers, the better the quality will be and the truer it will roll.

Chalk… Most casual pool players do not know that there are different types of chalk available. Some are a little grittier than others. You may like one over the other based on the way you play. Chalk does come in many different colors. You should use the color chalk that is closest to the color of the cloth you are playing on. Using the wrong color chalk can make it difficult to clean the chalk dust from the cloth.
Brushes… It is a good idea to brush your cloth. It will help the nap of the cloth to stand up and of course remove debris from the surface of the cloth. Look for a brush with horse hair bristles. It will not wear the cloth like a nylon bristle brush will.

The bridge stick… The traditional bridge head has four knuckles. The cue stick will glide between the knuckles to help you control where you hit the cue ball. This will allow you to hit a ball that is difficult to reach.
There are some new bridges that give many more options that will allow you to draw, follow and shoot over a cluster of balls.
Triangles… There are hundreds of different triangles on the market today. The most important thing that a triangle does is set the balls in place for the break. In order to get a good break, you want all of the balls in the triangle to contact each other. Believe it or not, there are many triangles out there that do not allow that.

We also sell 9 ball racks and 7 ball racks.
Don’t forget that your cue sticks need a place to be stored. By placing them in a storage rack, you will keep the cue sticks straight. Racks are available in wall mounted or floor stands. We have a selection of new and antique stick racks available.

You want to have comfortable seating for your opponent to relax while you are making your 50-ball run. We have some spectator chairs that are covered in leather as well as a line that is covered in vinyl.
You want to keep your table well lit while you are playing so you can see how to cut the ball at the far end of the table. Come see the lighting in our showroom.
We sell just about anything else that you may think of for your billiard room. If we do not have it in stock, we can order it for you.
